Crispy Chinese Arrowhead (Ngaku/Chi Gu) Chips
Ingredients:
1Kg Chinese Arrowhead / Ngaku / Chi Gu
cooking oil (for deep frying)
Method:
- Peel and slice Chinese Arrowhead evenly with a slicer.
- Heat up oil in a frying pan with small heat.
- Put the Chinese Arrowhead chips piece by piece onto the frying pan (to make sure that the Arrowhead / Ngaku chips are not stuck together).
- Keep on stiring and flipping the Chinese Arrowhead chips to make sure that they are evenly fried.
- Fry until golden brown or until there is no bubble coming out from the Chinese Arrowhead chips.
- Drain the Chinese Arrowhead chips using strainer.
- Pour the Chinese Arrowhead chips on a kitchen towel to absorb the excessive oil.
- Repeat the above steps until you have finished frying all the arrowhead Chinese Arrowhead chips.
- When it is cool, store it in an air-tight container.
