2 tsp flour
oil (for deep frying)
Methods:
- Peel and slice the shallots evenly and thinly.
- Separate the shallot slices into rings and place them in a medium bowl.
- Sprinkle flour over the shallots and toss them lightly to coat evenly.
- Heat up oil in a frying pan. Sprinkle the shallots over the oil and stir gently to keep them separated.
- Fry until golden brown (approx 10-15 minutes).
- Drain the fried shallots using a strainer.
- Pour the fried shallots on a kitchen towel to absorb the oil.
